For Non-HOA neighborhoods, the City recognizes there is no formal structure or funding mechanism to maintain shared spaces. Through the Neighborhood Stabilization Program, City Council has approved funding for the repair or replacement of screening walls and entry features. For 2023, we have initiated this program for Heritage Park South and Heritage Park (considered one neighborhood for purposes of this project), focusing on screening wall and entryway enhancements.
Throughout this process, residents will have several ways to participate in the Neighborhood Stabilization Program. We want this project to be the best it can be! So, as we begin, we need your (1) input regarding project enhancement options and (2) involvement on key days and events. Please consider:
- Attend the neighborhood public meeting
Update: Thank you to the 30+ residents who attended the neighborhood meeting on May 8 and May 11. If you signed up to be on committee, then City Staff will be in touch in the coming weeks to kick that process off!
If you were unable to attend the meeting, then please review the PowerPoint presentation and meeting summary to see an overview of what was discussed. - Volunteering to help organize your neighborhood workday
Update: Thank you to all who served on the workday committee and/or helped with the workday. We had 25 volunteers of all ages show up on Aug. 26, 2023 from 7-10:30 a.m. to work on three separate projects in the neighborhood. View pictures here. - Helping plan the Heritage Park South Block Party in fall 2023
Update: Save the date, Heritage Park South! Your neighborhood Block Party is on the calendar for Oct. 14, 2023 from 4-6 p.m. - Serving on the Enhancement Project Steering Committee
Update: The City is currently soliciting contractors for screening wall replacement along Bethany Drive between Cottonwood Creek and Mustang Creek. When a contractor is selected and plans prepared, then Staff will engage the Project Steering Committee.
